Message: Renaissance Faire free for Charities.
The Pennsylvania Renaisance Faire is offering free admission 11 am to 8 pm Aug 16 and 17 for the beneficiaries of non profit religious, charitable and educational organizations.
To qualify, the groups have to complete and online request form describing the charitable work they do. Organizers will review the forms and approve them based on financial need.

Usuall, tickets are $29 for adults and $10 for children. The festival is on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate and Winery in Lancaster County. For details, visit www.parenfiare.com

Message: Giant Grill to visit festival. The world's largest touring grill has been to the Super Bowl. The Pentagon and the Kentucky Derby, and now it's on the way to York County Balloon Festival. Message: Chef Repeats Iron Title. Yorktowne Hotel Executive Chef Mark Pawlowski won his second consecutive Pennsylvania Iron Chef Competition the hotel said Monday.

As executive chef, Pawlowski oversees all food and beverages at the Yorktowne. He was one of the chefs on the team this year that took home top honors for Pennsylvania corn dishes involving salmon, beef tenderloin and dessert. This was the second year for the contest.
